As a seasoned traveller, I’ve watched countless parents struggle to keep their small children happy and content within their allocated seat. This became my persistent worry as my husband and I planned our upcoming family holiday with two little ones.

Like all parents, we wanted to do the best we could for our kids, and increase the chance of my family having a restful flight.

After coming up with the napflat concept and sharing my solution with other parents going on family holidays, their positive feedback inspired me to start a business from my idea. It's uplifting to know my product is helping others and I’m overwhelmed by the confidence of parents who have trusted me and left such wonderful reviews.

Initially, the napflat was produced around my kitchen table, with Mum helping me in busy times — the very person who taught me how to sew (starting with clothes for my Cabbage Patch Doll!) Now the napflat is manufactured to an exceptionally high standard in Sydney, using 100% cotton fabrics where the integral strength of the product does not rely on seams joining the fabric together.

Today, this ‘plane thingy’ has a patent, an official name and logo!
